Our God has been more than faithful and now the Omwana House is thriving and growing. Currently caring for our six babies are our two nannies, Shivan and Asumpta and our supervisor/social worker Ivan, as well as our director Faith. We are in the process of looking for a third nanny now. We are in the process of building a bathhouse on the premises. Because of the generosity of many faithful supporters, this will be completed soon. This will be a place for baths/showers and will also hold two washing machines.
The original Omwana House will hold up to ten babies. Because we are near maxing out our room, we must look forward in planning to build more rooms. Our plan is to build four more rooms behind the house, as well as a kitchen. Each room should be built to hold approximately five to ten babies, depending on their ages. We will also be making plans to build a bigger home, then the first home will be made into staff quarters. Please join us in prayer for the staff and the babies, as we continue to seek the Lord for his guidance and provision.
